The dock is made by simply use 'mirage' to make the dock entirely invisible, then manually drawing the dock onto the desktop background, because otherwise it won't go all the way to the edges of the screen.

this is awesome !!! i always wanted to have a desktop like this :D what did you do to the dock? and what version of mac os x did you use? very nice :D
